The structure of this app carried over many features of the FlightStats app, such as flight search and information, but also presented a host of new features and new challenges. Prime among these was the implementation of "trips", or the organization of flight segments into a meaningful whole picture from Point A to Point B (and often, back again). We also had to cater to a number of travel agencies that wanted their brands to be seen, as it was their reputation on the line. With these challenges in mind, we came up with a solution to handle multiple trips through a specific travel agency with potential multiple flights. These trips also had valuable information such as connecting flight times, seat assignments, and hotel and rental car details.
